Email set up for the Gmail App

Open the Gmail App on your device.

Tap on the hamburger menu in the top left (the 3 vertical lines).

Scroll down to the bottom of the menu and tap the cog to open the settings.

Tap Add Account.

Choose ‘Other’.

Enter the new email address, and tap manual setup at the bottom left.

Choose ‘Personal IMAP’.

Enter your password and tap Next. You can press the eye icon which will show you your password as you are typing it.

Leave the email address and password boxes as they are already filled in.

Add ‘mail.’ to the beginning of your domain name in the mail server box. You can see the domain name we’ve used as an example here – make sure your own is used.

Tap Next.

Tap Next.

Account Options – leave all these boxes ticked and tap ‘Next’.

Unless you have any errors at this point, your account is set up!
