About the client

Butcher Bros is a family-run butchers based in Westbury, Wiltshire, operated by brothers Joe and Patrick Neate. With no existing website and only a Facebook presence, they wanted to establish a professional digital footprint that reflects their high-quality local meat products and helps increase brand awareness.

The challenge

The site needed to attract a wider, younger audience, showcase their produce and services, and drive customer engagement through Facebook Messenger and email.

Custom Design & UX

A tailored visual approach using a black and gold colour palette to differentiate from the traditional butcher aesthetic. The navigation was simplified to showcase the core services and encourage user interaction across all key devices.

Mobile-First Optimisation

The site was designed to work seamlessly across mobile and tablet devices. The most important contact methods—Facebook Messenger, email, and phone—were easily accessible via sticky headers and visible CTAs throughout the site.

Effective CTAs to Drive Engagement

Clear call-to-actions were included across key service and product pages, directing customers to make enquiries via Messenger or email. Social icons and contact information were placed in both the header and footer for consistency.

Product & Service Showcase

Dedicated pages outline their meat offerings—beef, pork, lamb—and specialist services like halal and kosher preparation. This structured layout makes it easy for users to understand the breadth of their offering.

Local Supplier Stories

To highlight their connection with the local community, short bios of their suppliers were integrated, building trust and authenticity.

WordPress Framework

Built on WordPress to allow the Butcher Bros team to update content and imagery independently as their product range evolves.

Visual Impact

High-quality imagery was used to reflect the premium nature of their produce. Placeholder stock imagery was used where necessary, with plans to update with real photos from the business.

The results

Although the site is in its early phase post-launch, the foundational SEO setup and improved visibility have already contributed to increased local awareness. The project created a solid base for future expansions, including potential features such as online ordering, testimonials, blog content, and sustainability initiatives.

The website now serves as a central hub for Butcher Bros’ marketing, successfully aligning their traditional values with a modern, customer-focused digital presence.
