Firmly established in the area since 1995, Alan Joy Windows are based in Melksham and have a reputation for excellence when it comes to home improvements.

The challenge

Frustrated with a site that neither met their needs nor accurately displayed their knowledge, expertise and product range, Alan Joy Windows approached Dentons Digital to refresh their website and broader digital footprint.

The solution

Dentons Digital created a modern, sleek and user-friendly website using high quality photographs of their work. The design focused on an intuitive user experience, streamlined menu structure with clear call to action placement and social proofing.

Dentons Digital’s focus was on creating a seamless user experience, ensuring intuitive navigation and high engagement & conversions. The new site highlights Alan Joy Windows’ wide range of products and services. The mobile template was revised to be clearer with simple navigation and a sticky mobile header was added.

  • WordPress Rebuild: The site was migrated from an old version of WordPress to a new version, with a simple CMS function that allows the client to update sections of the site much more easily than before.
  • User Experience Focus: Dentons audited the website traffic levels to make data driven decisions across the website information architecture, menu items & URL structure. A new menu structure was introduced with clear pathways to key information on the services and highlighting new priority product offerings.
  • Optimised CTAs: Extra touch points were added with additional call to action buttons for phone calls, emails and links to the contact us form. The service pages, location pages and blog post templates were redesigned to improve the conversion rate and a new simplified contact form created.
  • Enhanced Visuals: All the images were fully optimised and resized, and a plugin was used to improve the website load speed, because speed is a key rankings and conversion metric. Iconography was introduced to distinguish services and USPs.
  • Mobile-First Design: Full-width design elements and anchor link navigation was used to direct users to key areas and services.

The results

A refreshed website design for Alan Joy Windows drove more traffic and improved the conversion rate. Combined with increased front-page Google rankings from SEO efforts, the results were impressive.
