About the brand
Alan Joy Windows is based in Melksham.
It is well-established as one of Wiltshire’s leading suppliers of new windows, doors, and conservatories.
The team all live locally to the area they service and pride themselves on providing a helpful and efficient service.
The Brief
Alan Joy Windows came to us with a Website that contained a lot of repetitive information, without a clear focus on the individual and personal services they provide. They required a modern, user friendly site, that told their unique tale and highlighted their strong family values.
It was decided that the new site should clearly show the services that the company provides, whilst allowing its customers to get to know the friendly team. Alan Joy Windows specifically asked to make sure we got across the family-business feel.
We worked closely with the client to complete a full site map in order to create User Experience Led Wireframes. On top of this, it was discussed that there was a wide scope for growth to the website. We discussed adding a specific “Call To Action” page and a “Meet the Team” page to give an even more personal and friendly approach.
The client also requested that their product “Guardian Roofing” be pushed, and that the new website, unlike the existing one, should be fully responsive, to allow use across all devices.
The overarching aim was to modernise the website whilst simplifying the interface, in order to better showcase their products and brand story.
Our Work
The new, fully responsive site was created in order to show off each individual service that Alan Joy provides. With a simplistic User Interface, the website works to help users find exactly what they are looking for.
There was a strong focus on implementing Calls to Action for both desktop and mobile users, adapting depending on the screen size. A feature was added in order to push the “Guardian Warm Roofs” product, as per the client’s request.
SEO
The wireframes we created were based on much research and analysis, in order to ensure that the website was ranking for search terms that would gain the most traffic.
We made sure we had our SEO Gurus on hand throughout the build process to ensure a smooth transition from the old site to new, meaning we could avoid the risk of organic rankings degradation.
Results
The Alan Joy website now boasts a modern look with an easy to use UX. This being said the website still emphasises Alan Joy’s family feel and approachable attitude.
