About the client

Established in 1903, they are a long-standing independent firm of estate agents and chartered surveyors with offices in Salisbury, Andover and Stockbridge. As members of the Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors, they offer a comprehensive range of commercial and residential services, including sales, lettings, property management, lease advisory, valuations, investments, and a development consultancy. Despite their reputation and longevity, their online presence no longer reflected the strength of their brand or the breadth of their services.

The challenge

Myddelton & Major approached Dentons Digital with a clear objective: to bring their website up to modern standards, align it with their updated branding, and improve their visibility across Google’s organic search results. At the heart of this effort was a desire to generate more valuation requests by boosting their online footprint in the three local markets they serve.

The solution

Website Redesign and Development

Dentons Digital undertook a full website redesign, creating a new homepage, individual service-level pages and introducing a more intuitive search function. The menu structure was completely overhauled and calls to action were enhanced throughout the site. Dentons worked with third parties, including Property Hive, to incorporate key property feeds and display them in the most impactful way.

The contact form was refined, and signposting was added to guide users efficiently through the site. Loading times were significantly improved, and advanced security layers and caching technology were added to ensure a smoother, safer user experience.

By mapping user journeys and applying a frictionless design approach, the website was transformed into a tool that worked harder for both the business and its clients.

Advanced SEO Set-Up

Alongside the website build the team implemented an advanced SEO setup. This included a full rewrite of all meta titles and descriptions, the addition of SEO-focused headers, alt image tags and the integration of a dynamic XML sitemap and updated robots.txt file. The content across the site was carefully rewritten to include relevant local signals, ontologies and service-based entities, ensuring that the site not only read well but ranked effectively. Dentons also trained the client team on how to write high-quality meta data for ongoing property listings.

SEO Campaign

With the technical SEO work in place, Dentons launched a targeted local SEO campaign designed to grow organic visibility across the three key locations. Each month, new content was published with a focus on experience, expertise, authority and trust (E-E-A-T). Internal linking structures were improved, the firm was supported in gaining more Google reviews, and advanced schema was implemented to enhance search engine listings. Using heatmap analysis, Dentons continually reviewed how users interacted with the site, making incremental improvements to calls to action and contact form performance.

A detailed audit of backlinks and local citations revealed several gaps. Dentons launched a focused outreach campaign to strengthen authority and secure links from reputable, relevant sources. These efforts helped elevate the visibility of Myddelton & Major not just in one branch area, but across Salisbury, Andover and Stockbridge.

The results

The results of the campaign were clear and measurable. Visibility across Google’s first page rose sharply, with the number of front-page rankings increasing by 226 percent. This uplift in rankings translated into a 123 percent rise in overall traffic and a 141 percent increase in new users over the course of a year. Page views climbed by 69 percent, a reflection of stronger engagement and better-structured content.

In a crowded and increasingly digital property market, Myddelton & Major’s online performance now matches the authority and heritage of its real-world reputation.
