Using the Navigator

Last Updated

The navigator can be used to help you quickly highlight sections, columns and widgets on your page and re-organise their layout by moving them up and down the page.

To open, click on the navigator icon in the Elementor toolbar and the navigator pop-up will appear, as shown below:

The navigator pop-up can be moved around the viewport by clicking and dragging into a position that’s suited to your workspace.

You can also snap the navigator pop-up to the right-side of the screen by dragging and dropping it to the edge.

This allows you to keep the navigator to the side of the viewport without getting in the way of your layout.

Controlling Content

The navigator is a great tool to help you select content in the layout.

You can see the layout order from top to bottom and it also shows which widgets are being used to create the layout.

By clicking on the drop-down arrow next to each element, you can see each widget within a section or column.

To move them, click on an element and drag it either up or down to re-order the layout.

You can right-click on any element to either duplicate, copy and paste or edit the widget or section.

You can also re-name an element by double-clicking on title and typing in a new name. This is useful if you wish to easier see sections, columns or widgets in more complex layouts.

Note, columns must sit within a section and cannot be moved up or down without a related section.
