About the brand
Myddelton & Major is a trusted firm of Chartered Surveyors and Estate Agents, long established in the Wiltshire city of Salisbury.
The company is renowned across the south of England for its expert and efficient management of commercial properties, estates and business parks on behalf of private owners, property companies, pension funds and investment institutions.
The Brief
Myddelton and Major already had a website, but it wasn’t bringing in the leads they were looking for. Already a successful and established business in the offline world, this seemed to be the final piece of the puzzle.
An attractive and functional website would mean they were covering all bases, making sure they didn’t miss out on potential opportunities, and bringing it in line with the booming success of the offline side of the business.
Myddelton and Major had a chat with our team to discuss their goal of creating a new, fully responsive website, which would showcase their beautiful properties in the most visually appealing way.
It was crucial to make sure the site was easy to update, to keep up with the pace at which they sell their properties.
Our Work
We teamed up with the client to create a website that could be easily updated by themselves, in order to give them the freedom to add and remove properties as and when they were sold or put on the market.
After chatting about their business plan over a cuppa, we agreed that the residential and commercial properties should be split into two different sections within the website. It would work to show their customers what they were looking for, from the moment they landed on their site.
Visually led UX
The new look gave Myddelton and Major exactly what they were looking for.
They now have the perfect online shop window, which they can dress themselves to show off their available properties.
Results
The website has worked to give potential customers a better user experience, instantly showing them what they need to see and pointing them in the right direction in order to find their dream home.
The percentage of mobile users of the website has continued to climb, now that they have a fully responsive UX.
The users of the website continue to increase each quarter, as does the amount of individual sessions on the website. This, combined with the steadily increasing amount of average pages per session, shows that the website is working for the company and achieving the goals that were set out from the start.
